AFW ERGON Series

The AFW ERGON series is composed of automatic shrink wrapping machines to pack loose plastic, metal, cardboard or glass containers featuring a rectangular/square bottom (also oval or cylindrical by means of an ancillary device) and/or already made packs. All AFW ERGON machines are equipped with a 90° product infeed conveyour and with a mechanical grouping system featuring a push-in device that slides on a brushless motor-driven linear guide.

APS 1035 Series

The APS 1035 is a single-column palletisation system based on two Cartesian axes motion, with upward movements. The vertical axe is composed of a hard-set vertical column along which a horizontal beam runs on recirculating-sphere guides. The horizontal axe of operation is made up of the beam, along which, again on recirculating-sphere guides, a picking gripper-bearing arm moves.

The APS 1550 P ERGON is a “3 in 1” system that integrates, inside the central column’s structure, the palletizing, empty pallets feeding and interlayer insertion steps, i.e. the three operations usually performed by separate machines inside their own dedicated space. The integration of these three functions in the central column is made possible by a series of technical innovations devised by SMI designers. Specifically, the horizontal beam on which the layers loading head runs was fitted with a telescopic guides system that allows the beam to move faster on its transverse axis.

DV ERGON series

SMI offers compact, flexible systems for dividing and laning bundles and containers of noncylindrical shape. The distribution of the containers within a production line is made possible by the dividers of the ‘DV’ series. The ‘DV ERGON’ dividers receive the loose product in single row, they divide it into several rows and lane it towards the secondary packaging machines.

The EBS ERGON project is based upon all-electronic processes which allow to get rid of the whole of mechanical movements and related cams and ultimately make the blower a cam-less machine.

MP ERGON Series

The MP ERGON series includes automatic machines for the packaging of plastic, metal, cardboard and glass containers in overwrapping cardboard sleeves.
MP ERGON series packers can achieve an output up to 300 packs per minute, depending on the machine model and on the product to be packaged. Low or medium capacity containers can be packed in OTT (Over The Top) or NT (Neck Through) style.
